MONDAY – FEDERAL
On Monday we recommend you make your way out to the “Federal” in Barcelona. It is located in the San Antoni district but a second one has also recently opened in the Gothic neighborhood, in the heart of the town center. If you decide to choose the first option and go to the “Federal” in San Antoni, you might want to order a warm cup of coffee made with fresh milk whilst relaxing in the garden. If instead, you would rather go to the Gothic neighborhood you could indulge in poached eggs on toast or a Reuben de pastrami sandwich. TUESDAY – TROPICO
It’s Tuesday and you are walking down the Rambla, aiming to visit the amazing Port Vell and maybe do a little shopping at the Maremagnum shopping center. Hang on! Why not stop for a brunch on the way there? The “Tropico” is less than 10 minutes away from the docks and serve delicious dishes such as Maghreb crepes with a bowl of Amazonian Acai super berries, homemade granola, fresh tropical fruit, and traditional pancakes with maple syrup, eggs benedict and much more. WEDNESDAY – MILK
On Wednesday why don’t you head out to the Gothic neighborhood to browse the local little businesses and feel the breeze of the nearby sea? You will find a little place called “Milk” close to a marvelous historic building on Via Laietana which is the old-post office. “Milk” was established in the spring of 2005 and it is designed with plush hand-made sofas, fancy pillows, golden picture frames, antiques chandeliers and incredible wallpaper by 50’s designer Florence Broadhurst. But not only is this place a delight for the eye it is also a delight for the mouth! Some of the dishes they serve for brunch include Croque-Monsieurs, a large variety of delicious salads, American Pancakes with Bacon, fresh fruit crunch and lots more. Plus, if you are English-speaking, you might enjoy a chat with the Irish couple who run this delightful venue.

THURSDAY – BRUNCH & CAKES
On Thursday, we recommend you head out to the Eixample neighborhood, which is characterized by long straight streets and a strict grid pattern crossed by wide avenues. Some parts of the Eixample were influenced by modernist architects, and we strongly recommend you to go admire the work of Antoni Gaudí. His work in the Eixample includes the Casa Milà and the Casa Batlló, both of which are on the Passeig de Gràcia. Also, we have the perfect little place for you to go brunch after visiting these monuments! “Brunch & Cakes” is a lovely little place that, as its name suggests, is famous for their assortments of cupcakes and muffins. They also have a wide selection of homemade bread and pastries. If you would rather indulge in something more salty you might want to try their toast, Benedictine eggs, ricotta filled donuts or hamburgers.

FRIDAY – MARMALADE
On Friday you might want to head out to the Boqueria Market, a gastronomic paradise and the best showcase of fresh Catalan products in the city. Wondering through this maze of traders will certainly stimulate your appetite and we have just the place for you to enjoy a perfect brunch nearby! The “Marmalade” is located just 5 minutes away from the market, in the heart of the Raval neighborhood. It is a place that will impresses you as soon as you enter the door. SATURDAY – GRANJA PETITBO
On Saturday why not take a stroll down Passeig San Joan, one of the most spacious sunny streets of Barcelona, the perfect place to stop for a brunch at the “Granja Petitbo”. This venue is a beautiful remodeled nineteenth century dairy which offers generous dishes and very friendly costumer service. We recommend you try the assortment of cakes accompanied with a cup of hot latte macchiato. Other popular dishes include the eggs benedict with salmon or bacon, huevos rancheros and of course the freshly made juices.

SUNDAY – PICNIC
It’s Sunday, and what better way to enjoy a Sunday than a stroll in the beautiful Park of Ciutadella? Located right next to the Arc de Triomf , the park is a green oasis in the center of the city where you can enjoy long walks, admire the beautiful fountains, and witness various artists performing acrobatics and jumbo sessions from time to time. If you get hungry, we recommend a little place nearby that serves brunch from 11:30 to 17:00. This place is called “Picnic” and it prides itself in making food with love and care. Some of the wonderful little dishes you might enjoy are burrata cheese with homemade dried tomatoes, French toast with peanut butter sauce, bananas and whipped cream and pink lemonades or mimosas to start of your day in style.
