If you like contemporary art and you want to find out about the most innovative creations but, at the same time, you´re a bit tired of the format of the ´fairs´, Prague offers you a perfect chance to approach the contemporary creations without having to make your way through elbowing and pushing among the millions of people and stands full of works. The event is called Tina-B, and it´s the best known contemporary art and creation festival in the city. Every year, during the months of October and November, Tina-B invites over 100 artists from around the world so that they exhibit their works or carry out their site specific installations. This year, the festival will take place from the 20th of October until the 13th of November, and it will be open from 12pm until 6pm (entry is free). 2011 is the year of the festival´s sixth edition, and it´s theme is ´Art-Eco-Bio´, in other words, the artistic creation whose sensitivity is orientated towards the environment and ecology. Of course, not only do they consider artists those who work with recycled materials, but also the contents which try to raise awareness in the spectators about ecological subjects. We recommend that you leave your apartments in Prague and spend an afternoon with ´green´ contemporary art.
