Gül Baba Street and Tomb

Budapest is a magical city that offers different environments while we walk through it. On the hills of Buda there are many tourist interest points but, the most visited one by tourists is the Gül Baba Tomb.

Gül Baba was a famous monk from the city that died the same day that Buda was conquered, on September 2nd, 1541 and, since then, the people of the place commemorate it. His tomb is at the end of a small street of the city which also has its name.

Gül Baba street is in the middle of the thousands of other little streets that go up and down the hills of Buda. It´s only one hundred metres long and when one walks through it he feels in another century, another time, in another world.

This Muslim monk is the father of roses and, for that, Gül Baba street is full of beautiful roses in spring, giving it a beautiful landscape for the tourist and whoever wants to walk through this beautiful exclusive part of the city.

The tomb is in itself an octagon that´s found at the end of the street and it´s a beautiful place to visit and get to know its history step by step. If you want to be there too, rent apartments in Budapest and live the dream of the city.
