The Palazzo Uguccioni is another of the beautiful palaces that are in the Piazza della Signoria in the centre of the city of Florence. It´s very beautiful and its architecture stands out from the rest, although it´s smaller than the rest.
It´s believed that it was Rafael or Michelangelo who drew the architectonic sketches for this work, because they follow the style of both Italian artists. The Uguccioni Palace has a classical style, although it mixes with late Roman and Renaissance.
The façade of the building has a decorative aim and with its columns and windows it constitutes a classical and beautiful construction, special enough to take a photograph of it with that scenario behind.
This building started to be built in approximately 1550 , but it took its current look subsequently, when Cosme I of Medici (first great Duke of Tuscany) reconstructed it and remodelled the whole Piazza della Signoria.
In the main entry of the building you can find a bust of Francesco I of Medici by Benedicto Uguccioni, a sculptor friend of the great Florentine Duke.
