Rome is a beautiful city to see it all, spend a few days there enjoying its parks, monuments and sites full of history, such as the Colosseum. But those who, also, love marathons, also have their place there because, during the month of March, the Rome Marathon takes place, which is one of the most important ones in the world because it has prizes up to 200,000€ and 26 miles in length. Not many around the world have that distance and, for that reason, people from all over the world come to give their all.
90,000 contestants run from 9am to enjoy a beautiful marathon. The prizes, as said before, go up to 200,000€. The first ones, both in the men and the women´s race, will take home 40,000€. The register is done on the website and it costs 40€. Those who can´t make the 26 miles can enjoy other races, such as the 2.5 mile one, where there´ll be no prizes.
