Schreierstoren

Close to the Centraal Station train station in the city of Amsterdam, there´s the oldest tower in the city, Schreierstoren. This tower was part of the medieval walls that protected the city.

 

Today there are various shops incorporated to the original construction, above all cafés, and small restaurants where tourists can come to have something cold or warm (depending on the time of the year) or also eat the best Dutch dishes which are homemade.

 

Because it´s very close to the dock, and Schreierstoren is also visited by tourists who are travelling by boat. They tie it up right there and come down for a coffee or a tasty cold beer, typically Dutch.

 

In this tower all types of events take place, especially work meetings, birthdays, anniversaries and others. But the nicest ones are the weddings because a wedding in this part of Amsterdam is a dream wedding.
