Views You Can’t Do Without

Although many come to Mallorca looking to rest, the truth is that the island is bursting with cultural activities that you can’t miss out on. For instance, the gallery of Joan Mirò, the famous Majorcan painter is located in Palma. The Foundation houses the full collection of the artist’s works, comprising paintings, sculptures, ceramics, textiles, etchings, and drawings from all the different periods of Mirò’s life. Definitely worth a visit to get better acquainted with Majorcan culture!

Palma Aquarium is a very good option for a day. Submerge yourself in a journey through the world’s oceans without leaving the island. Discover what secrets dwell down at the seabed in this amazing journey with over 8,000 specimens, including ten giant sharks lurking in the deep. You’ll live new experiences and make your acquaintance with the living corals of the aquarium. And if you are a daredevil, you’ll be able to dive with sharks… they kids will love it but so will you – don’t miss out!

Marineland Mallorca is another good option when it comes to interacting with aquatic animals. You will be astounded by the friendliness and intelligence of dolphins and California sea lions. Marineland’s dolphin shows are rated among the world’s best. You will be able to see dolphins swimming in their natural environment from the undersea tunnels. And you’ll also have the chance to learn more about these playful animals at Marineland’s Dolphin Encounter.

Much More than Beaches

When on a family holiday, the main idea is to have fun and enjoy the outdoors with the family. Majorcan beaches are famed around the world and rightly so. For a fun beach family activity how about paddle surfing? This new water sports activity is excellent for children and adults alike. You can practice it in most beaches and there are small huts where you can rent paddles, and if it is your first time, why not take some lessons?

Nightlife

As we said, Mallorca packs it all within a single island, and its nightlife will not let you down. There is just too much fun to be had in Majorca. Its clubs are many and varied, some of them internationally famed. In fact, many European tourists come to Palma de Mallorca every year exclusively for its clubbing scene, as its clubs are among the best in the Mediterranean. Tito’s is the place to be if you are young, into electronic music, and like to dance till dawn. Its three stories are always jammed-pack with cocktails, champagne and beautiful people. The views over the bay from the grand hall windows are stunning, and the Majorca locals just flock here every weekend. But Majorca’s most impressive club is BCM, large enough to fit 4,000 people! They play techno, house and rave music, with female and male go-go dancers and shows every single night. The fun is guaranteed.
