Travel Inspiration for November

For those Folks who are tired of visiting the same destinations every year, here are four cities that you’ll want to explore on your next vacations.

Arles – France

It´s a quaint little town adorned with Roman ruins, several interesting museums and active pedestrian zones. Arles is one of the most favorite base cities from which to explore the French province of Provence. Couple of times a week, the city shines with the bright colors of fruits, vegetables and flowers of its splendid outdoor market; the perfect opportunity to taste the local flavors of Arles.

The Roman Amphitheatre is the most famous monument in Arles. This building dates back to the year 90 AD, and was the fighting place of brave gladiators who fought against impressive beasts just for the vain entertainment of the spectators. The amphitheater can accommodate 2000 people and it is still in use.

Perhaps the most famous resident of the city was Vincent van Gogh, who found his true inspiration in this beautiful city. Arles is the ideal city for those folks looking for a little paradise full of history and beautiful landscapes.

Udine, Italy

Udine is a charming town located between the Alps and the Adriatic Sea. Famous for its Venetian influence, the city is adorned with admirable architectural variety that includes churches, galleries and spaces within it is worth to highlight the Piazza della Libertà, which beauty is able to mesmerize you. Do not forget to visit the Palazzo del Comune and the magnificent Clock Tower.

Udine is the perfect destination to enjoy a unique combination between mountains, sea and canals in a calm but full of action atmosphere.

Piombino – Italy

Strategically located between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Ligurian Sea, in the heart of ancient Etruria, we find the beautiful town of Piombino. Famous for its maritime tradition, inherited from the Etruscans, the town continues to orbit its life around the water; the city has one of the most important passenger ferry ports in Italy.

The oldest monument in the city is The Rivellino, which was built in 1212. The Co – Cathedral of Sant´Antimo, dating from 1377 is one of the main city’s attractions because of its splendid Pisane – Gothic style. Do not miss the breathtaking views of the Tuscan archipelago from Piazza Bovio.

Piombino is the perfect place to visit with family or friends, because it offers an incredible variety of tourist attractions and also because it is located in the beautiful Tuscan archipelago.

Heraklion, Greece

Heraklion is one of the most diverse and vibrant cities in the Mediterranean. Housing several historical jewels represented in cathedrals, monuments and medieval ruins, the capital of Crete offers its visitors a lively beach atmosphere combined with impressive historical venues marked by the Byzantine, Venetian and Ottoman Eras.

Places like The City Walls, 25th of August Street, Agios Minas Cathedral and Eleftherias plateia will inspire you continue to discover the history of the second-to-none island of Crete.

As one of the largest cities in Greece, the transportation network is well developed and allows you to explore the entire city without any problems. This is a recommended destination to come with the whole family.
