Graça.Brandão Gallery Lisbon

The Graça.Brandão Gallery was founded in 2006 by Jose Mario Brandão to broaden the promotion of Portuguese contemporary art, give room for new local artists and open its space to the most experimental art. Today, it´s considered as one of the most known independent art galleries in the city due to the amount of exhibitions that it carries out every year.

Its building of modern design contextualizes the motivations of this gallery. Located in the Barrio Alto, on Rua dos Caetanos 26, it has an interesting range of more than twenty artists that represent the enormous artistic movement that exists in Lisbon.

During last year, there were seven exhibitions, the last one being ´Passion´ by Albano Silva Pereira, the director of the Visual Arts Centre in Coimbra, who has dedicated himself to promote Portugal´s photographic works.

Among the great works that the Graça.Brandão Gallery has exhibited we can find the Brazilian artist who represents specific art, Lygia Pape. Other contemporary Portuguese artists, such as João Tabarra among many others, have also exhibited there.

Art has always been food for the spirit, and if we add a few days renting apartments in Lisbon to this, you´ll have a wonderful beginning of the year.
