If you´re a lover of restaurants with a history you should go to Ca l´Isidre, which was founded in 1970 and, until today, it´s served by its owners. The restaurant, run by a couple, is located in the old town of Barcelona, on Avinguda Paral·lel.
Ca l´Isidre was created with the intention of mixing traditional cuisine from Barcelona with Mediterranean one. This means that here you can find dishes made with fresh products which are bought in the Boqueria Market on that same day and they are of the highest quality.
The one in charge of the desserts is the daughter of the couple, who joined the restaurant in 1990. She is Núria Gironès and all her creations are handmade. For this reason, if you enjoy desserts, Ca l´Isidre is a very good choice.
The decoration of the restaurant isn´t particularly special, but not because it´s ugly, just because it´s simple and doesn´t attract attention. It has a classic design with many flowers and one or two paintings to be enjoyed.
