It´s true, the city of London is known for many attractions which go from Camden Town to Big Bang, as well as Carnaby Street, Piccadilly Circus and its multiform underground scene… but it´s not known for its food. Actually, many countries in Europe consider that the British don´t make much of an effort when it comes to preparing its food, and that it´s not easy to find more elaborate solutions in food than the ones that you get in the fast food and takeaway shops. For this reason, an unmissable event arrives in London for those who want to change their opinion on that matter: it´s the Cheese & Wine Festival, an event dedicated to the celebration of the artisanal food production in Britain from the elaboration of cheese and wine. Our recommendation is that you leave your apartments in London and go to this singular festival, but do so without prejudices, because it won´t be a French-style sampling but an occasion to gather around food and celebrate this country´s traditions. As the organizers say, actually, it´s not about judging its value but simply to explore new flavours, meeting people and sharing a day or an afternoon together. The festival takes place in October and the entry is free.
