The ACB art gallery in Budapest tries, in a similar way to other western cities, to exhibit the work of young local artists, in this case from Hungary. However, it also exhibits famous artists with consecrated works.
Set up by art historians, it changed hands in 2009 after nearly 20 years being managed by the founders, although that hasn´t altered the quality of the exhibitions.
The art gallery scene has changed quite a bit in recent years, since the new innovative proposals, such as the performance and the installation, are sharing the ´stage´ with other traditional art forms, such as sculpture, painting, graphic work, etc. With an ambitious idea, the current owners of the ACB Gallery in Budapest try to bring what´s new on the art scene in Hungary to the public and the collectors.
Remember that art galleries are of free access, that it´s not mandatory to make a booking and if, during your trip, you come across some bad weather, you don´t have to stay in your apartments in Budapest You just have to take a taxi or the public transport to the ACB Gallery and your day will be complete.
