Ca´ Pesaro

Ca´ Pesaro is an imposing palace with a baroque construction in the middle of Venice, in front of the Gran Canal. Inside there are two museums that´s one of the reasons why it´s visited by hundreds of thousands of tourists each year.

The construction, which was originally designed by Baldassarre Longhena, is from the mid-17th century and it was finished by Gian Antonio Gaspari in 1710.

The palace is currently, as well as one of the most important buildings in Venice, the Modern Art Museum, that holds paintings by great artists such as Klimt, Bonnard, Chagall, Kandinksy, Klee, Rouault, Matisse, Morandi, De Chirico and Boccioni among many others.

But if that wasn´t enough, the second floor of the palace is dedicated to the Oriental Art Museum, which contains approximately 30 thousand objects from Japan, Indonesia and China where you can find armors, swords and also different paintings. This collection was brought by Prince Henry of Bourbon-Parma, Count of Bardi, at the end of the 19th century and he gave them to the Italian state.

Ca´ Pesaro is one of the most important and relevant museums in the city and you can rent apartments in Venice if you want to visit it.
