Observing without being seen generates a pleasure which some like more than others, but this exhibition called ´Observed. Voyeurism and vigilance through a camera since 1870´ is a cultural exhibition for all types of public. Since the month of October until the 8th of January 2012, it will be exhibited so that visitors can enjoy it. It will take place at the Fundación Canal in Madrid, a very interesting place due to its social and cultural commitments. Fundación Canal was created by the company Canal de Isabel II in 2000, which provides water service to the whole city of Madrid. It´s a public company which handles water since 1984, when it took over the commitment to maintain the quality and the security of the provided service. By working with a natural resource, the staff at ´Canal Isabel II´ spread environmental care and energy and water saving in the everyday life of society. And that´s how, in 2000, they decided to create a foundation which represented their ideals and which shows the social commitment that the company has with society. Since then, they´ve been in charge of various cultural events, and they always promote the inauguration of painting exhibitions, music shows and many other arts. What´s interesting about this exhibition is that one can go through the years between 1870 and today with 170 images and two videos which show the indiscrete look of a group of people on sex and eroticism, but also on famous people, encompassing the subject of continuous vigilance which brings them so much passion and fanaticism.
