Venice is without doubt one of the most romantic cities in the world: endless canals, gondolas and Italian music. This is the typical image that all turists have in mind. But what about the uncountable little islands that surround Venice? If you really want to get to know the authentical character of the city, make sure to visit the beautifull islands of Murano, Lido or Burano. You will be astonished by their beauty. The Venetian Islands have a rich history and tradition. During the 5th and 6th centuries, they were inhabited by residents of Venice who were fleeing the terrible wars. In Italy you can still find some deserted island like the ones we know from books and films. Many islands are real health centres with spas or even hospitals. For several years now, Berlin became one of the major European capitals of leisure and freedom. There are only a few other cities in the world who are even more tolerant and open-minded. Many Berliners, in line with that liberal thinking, are tired of the classic disco parties where people just dance, drink and socialize. So lately, a growing number of fetish clubs opened their doors, mainly visit by people in their thirties and onwards. These fetish clubs are disco’s where nightlife is combined with sex. In general, there are three different rooms: one to dance, like in any other club, one to drink something and socialize, and a third one for sex. Contrary to what you might think, these places are for everyone, not only for sadomasochists. Besides, probably you relate the word ‘Sadomasochism’ with people who find sexual pleasure in beatings, but it’s much more then that. There are some wild stories going around about Madrid, some are true and some are not. But what is centainly for real, is the fact that Madid never sleeps. Here you will find the best nightlife of Spain, probably even of Europe. No closing hours and a rich variety, no wonder that Madrid is a popular destination among the diehard party animals. Because in what other city can you party continuously from Monday to Sunday? Madrid does not stop partying at 3 in the morning like in many other countries. Here the party continues as long as you do! And of course, there are so many possibilities that for sure you find something that you like. The nightlife is very dynamic, and fashionable clubs come and go. But the different areas are very distinct and all attract a certain crowd, depending on you age, music style or sexual orientation. Maybe the most famous zone of Madrid is the Huertas area (Metro Sol), between the Puerta del Sol, Paseo del Prado and the Calle Atocha. This is the centre of the capital, and most places here are orientated on tourists.
