The best beer in Prague

In Prague is very difficult to determine which is the best local beer. The Czech Republic, and especially Prague, enjoys a great reputation for producing some of the best beers in the whole world, that is why, the establishments that enjoy greater consideration in the city are, without any doubt, the magnificent beer taverns; the famous pivnice. Before traveling to Prague, it is very important to memorize the magic words “už nepiju” (which mean “I´ve had enough”), because as soon as the waiters notice we have an empty glass, they immediately serve another one, since the local custom is to proceed this way until the client indicates otherwise. Although chances are it will be long until we decide to pronounce these words, because the quality of Czech beer is so high that it is almost impossible to deprive ourselves of the pleasure of drinking them in the taverns of Prague. The Czech Republic is home to some of the best lagers in the world, including the legendary Pilsner Urquell, which is very famous thanks to its special type of fermentation. In Prague you can find delicious bitter beers (such as Staropramen Branjík and Smíchnov), as well as sweet ones with higher ethyl levels, which are the result of a completely natural fermentation process. Naming the best places to drink beer in Prague is a nearly impossible task. However, there is a very famous place called U Fleku (K?emencova 11) that will be always suggested; indeed this is one of the most famous restaurants-pivnice in Prague, due to its stout. This pivnice, which has been in operation for over half... read more

Central Park with pets in New York

A bunch of activities await us in the famous Central Park, a park that immerses the city with its green areas, beautiful landscapes and lakes in which the tips of the New York skyscrapers reflect.   Its flora extends itself along the 842 acres of land, the biggest park in Manhattan. Many valleys and Elm forests cover the grass where squirrels, rabbits and other animals live, such as turtles and frogs, who scare off with their jumps all the birds who come fishing in the lakes. This is an ideal place for you to come with your pet in perfect symbiosis with the people who visit it, the surroundings and the animals who live there. For that, you have to comply with certain rules set by the park organization so you can fully enjoy it. Dogs can go without a leash in the areas that allow dogs every day from sunrise until 9am and from 9pm until the park closes. At all times, the dog must be on a leash in the other areas of the park and the owners should pick up all the residues that the animals leave in all areas of the park. Don´t let your pet dig or play with the gardens or flowers, or drink and play in the water fountains. You´ll find fountains where they can drink from in various spots around the park. Dogs should also be on a leash in the following areas: Arthur Ross Pinetum, Bridle Path, Cedar Hill, Conservatory Garden, Kerbs Boathouse Plaza, Shakespeare Garden, Strawberry Fields, Turtle Pond Lawn and in the forests. Dogs are welcome in most areas... read more

Rome with Children: Visit the Bioparco

When traveling with family, one must choose plans that can amuse and entertain the little ones as well. And although Rome is famous for its historical attractions and the beauty of its art, the city also offers interesting activities for children.   One of the places you should definitely visit is the Bioparco, which children usually enjoy the most. It is one of the first zoos in the world to allow its guests to meet the animals while they are educated and made more aware about the importance of conserving flora and fauna.   From its location within the glorious Villa Borghese, which was opened in 1911 as a place of entertainment for the Romans, you will be able to admire rare and exotic animals. Despite its initial success, it deteriorated over the years and was restructured several times as a result. The idea of converting it into a bio park emerged in 1994, and the project was based on the principles of the Gilman charitable foundation.   It currently has more than 1,000 animals of some 200 species, including some endangered species: Dendrobates, geckos, Egyptian turtles, mangabeys, Madagascarboas, crocodiles, lions, leopards, elephants and seals are just some of the many animals that will surprise your little ones. The most recent additions to the family are an Asiatic lion named Asoka, Pipa (a hippo) and three meerkats.   Animals are not the only attractions of the garden. There’s also the magnificent botanical collection (with mainly Mediterranean species) that enchants visitors with its beauty and exoticism.   The Bioparco also organizes many activities for children and families that will make... read more
