There´s nothing more stimulating than getting to know places which hold secrets or which are nearly unknown by its inhabitants, and that´s what we´re going to tell you about Florence, a city which lives day and night wildly in a way that few people know. Street concerts, theatre plays on the street, artists who show their works on the way… that and more is Florence, where there´s always time to have fun, especially if that fun has a touch of originality to it. Antico Caffè del Moro, better known as the “artists café” because since the 1950s it´s the place where artists from all fields gather to have a coffee and a few drinks and chat. The paintings which decorate its walls are are product of the payment of many artists who didn´t have money to pay for their drinks, giving it a touch of bohemia where cigarettes, liqueur, coffee and fleeting love mixed in the night. Located on Via del Moro 4, today it´s a traditional bar for those who know that story. Trattoria Za-Za is one of the restaurants on Piazza del Mercato Centrale, and it´s considered an unknown place among tourists and many Florentines, because its regulars are market workers.
