Berlin remains one of the capitals that attracts more artists from around the world. Its diverse and cosmopolitan nature and the dynamics of the city, makes Berlin a unique meeting point for artists interested in art, film students of all nations and political activists, no doubt a unique community in the German capital. Thus, Berlin does not stop having festivals and exhibitions of contemporary art, film, dance, literature, among many other artistic very current media. Getting to Berlin is strolling in a a city with a lot of history, where many meetings and intersections of ideas art, politics, and memories grab you if you´re sensitive enough. Thus, Berlinale is one of the most important cultural events of the city and certainly one of the most important dates for the international film industry. With more than 100 countries participating in the festival as well as professionals and journalists from the field of cinema, this festival also invites personalities from the arts and a wide amateur audience to participate in all its events. In Berlin you can find movies of all genres, themes and backgrounds, especially international films and exclusive European festival premieres. Among the sections that highlight this year´s festival, is of course the core competence of international cinema and “Panorama”, which features the best in independent cinema. For young people there will be the selection called “Generation”, and of course, the best of the new discoveries of young German cinema with the “Perspektive Deutsches Kino”.
