Between the 10th and the 16th of October, The International Theatre Festival of Venice which is held every year in the framework of the activities of the Venice Biennale and cultural encounters in the fall will be held. The festival, conceived by its creators as a workshop laboratory seeks to create a meeting of the greatest exponents of the theater and the new exponents on the international drama scene. The director, Catalonian Alex Rigola is the brain of this year´s event, which summons major directors, choreographers, actors, architects, playwriters, and lighting experts to create a space for debate and discussion on the direction of the performing arts, in a space where the division between the different artistic representations it is increasingly blurring They have prepared 40 workshops, seminars and daily meeting sessions in a sequence of 5 activities per day. From these intense debates conclusions and agreements will be published The full program offers important plays, such as the classic Shakespeare play Hamlet, led by the company Schaubühne of Berlin. This German company directed by Thomas Ostermeier, is known to develop classic theatrical representations adapted to post-modern times.
